GetCareIndia — also written Get Care India, and found online at getcareindia.com — is a senior care directory for Kerala, India. We list old age homes, retirement communities, assisted living and nursing homes across Kochi, Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kottayam, and we visit them in person before we publish a Visit Report.
We are not a care home, and we are not an agent for one. Care homes pay us nothing — no listing fee, no commission, no paid placement. Families pay for the services they choose, which is what keeps our visits independent.
If you were looking for a taxi service, you may have meant Get Cab India — a different company, with no connection to us.
How it started
Our Story
It started with chai
We met in college. Like most college friendships, ours ran on late-night chai and big plans nobody wrote down. Then we graduated and scattered. Different cities, different industries, and for a while, just the occasional phone call.
Someday, something together
But we kept in touch, and the same thing came up every time we met: someday we should build something together. Not because we wanted to start a company for its own sake. Working with people you trust, on a problem you care about, is rare. We knew that.
Not one rupee from any care home.
The conversation that stuck
When senior care came up in one of those conversations, it stuck. Every one of us knows families, our own included, where the children live in another city or another country and the parents are getting older. We had watched relatives and neighbours search for a good care home with nothing to go on except hearsay and a few phone numbers. Visit after visit, with no way to know what to look for or who to believe.
So that became the project
GetCareIndia is the platform we wished those families had. We visit and verify care homes ourselves, publish what we find, and let families decide with real information.

Our Mission
To help every Indian family make confident, informed decisions about senior care through personal verification, complete transparency, and compassionate support.
We started in Kerala, our home state, because we believe trust has to be built locally before it can scale. We personally visit every care home we review. We check licenses, walk through the facilities, talk to staff and to families. We don't rely on self-reporting, and we don't take shortcuts.
We're early in this journey, and we know trust is earned one verification at a time. If you're a family looking for care, or a care home that takes quality seriously, we'd love to have you with us from the start.

Validate the Model
Kerala's aging demographics, relatively high healthcare standards, and tech-comfortable population make it ideal for testing our platform. If we can build a trusted, sustainable business here, we can replicate it across India.
Our Expansion Plan:Once we have 100+ verified care homes in Kerala and proven our model, we'll expand to other South Indian states, then nationwide. But only when we're ready to maintain our quality standards at scale.
How We Make Money
We believe in radical transparency about our business model. Here's exactly how we generate revenue:
Care homes pay us nothing
No listing fees, no commission, no payment for being recommended, and nothing when a family chooses a home. A home cannot buy a better position, a better rating, or a place on your shortlist. We are paid by the families we work for, and by no one else.
Families pay, and only for two things
Searching, comparing, inquiring and visiting are free. Two things are optional and paid: a full Visit Report for a home that has one, and the Family Shortlist, where we research 3–5 homes for your parent, visit each one in person and report what we found. Both are one-time payments with the price shown up front. No subscriptions, no hidden costs.
Why this model works
When a directory is paid by the homes it lists, every recommendation carries a question: is this the best home, or the one that pays most? We removed that question by removing the payment. Our only incentive is to be accurate enough that families come back and tell others — which means reporting the problems we find, not just the good news.
