Golden Years Retirement Community

The Golden Years is a luxury retirement community located at Vaniapurackal Estate in Manganam, Kottayam, about 10 minutes from Kottayam town and next to Mundakapadam Mandiram Hospital. Set on a gated campus surrounded by rubber plantations, the project is planned for 48 single-storey bungalows (Type A 2 BHK and Type B 1 BHK cottages, approx. 849 sq. ft.), with 24 units completed in Phase 1. Accommodation is offered on both long-term and short-term basis.

The community is positioned for independent and assisted living. Residents have access to 24x7 on-call doctors and nursing care, an in-house healthcare centre within the clubhouse, physiotherapy on request, lab sample collection, and a tie-up with the adjacent Mandiram Hospital providing residents privilege cards for special rates. The campus is fully gated with 24x7 security, CCTV surveillance and an emergency calling system, and the single-storey, wheelchair-friendly villas are designed for senior accessibility.

Amenities include a centralised AC dining hall serving home-style vegetarian and non-vegetarian food (with vegetables from an on-site garden), housekeeping and laundry, a WiFi-enabled clubhouse, geriatric fitness centre, library, indoor games, salon, prayer/meditation hall, cinema/multipurpose hall, on-site grocery store, and taxi and ambulance access. The venture is led by founder Sajo Varghese (a physiotherapist with NHS UK experience) along with V.K. Varghese, Smitha Sajo and Mariamma Varghese.
