St. Mathews' Home for Senior Citizens

St. Mathews' Home for Senior Citizens is an assisted living community for the elderly located near Puthenpally church in Kallara P.O., Kottayam district, Kerala. Set on a 7.5-acre campus, it is run by the Mr. Thomas and Annamma Kottooparampil Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (registered 2008) and managed with the support of a small community of resident religious sisters. The facility provides 24/7 doctor and nursing care with CCU-experienced nurses, onsite ambulance service, routine health checkups, medication management and counselling. Residential accommodation is offered in three room categories: a suite room (with drawing room, bedroom, dressing room and toilet), a super-deluxe double room, and a deluxe standard single room, all with intercom for emergency access. Daily-living support includes housekeeping, laundry, nutritionist-supervised meals (vegetarian and non-vegetarian, with diabetic-friendly options) and assistance with dressing and medication.

Amenities include a geriatric gym with yoga, an Ayurvedic spa, an onsite chapel, indoor and outdoor games, gardens and organic farming, two elevators and ramps for accessibility, 24/7 power backup and CCTV surveillance, WiFi in common areas, and arranged transportation. Short-term stays are available, and family members may stay for short periods subject to room availability.
