About Travancore Foundation (Mission Valley)
Travancore Foundation is a charitable trust formed on 17th September 2009 (Registration No. 310/IV/2009, Kottayam) founded on Christian values, with a vision to provide dignified, healthy and secure lives to seniors through person-centred quality care. Its flagship facility, Mission Valley, is a Platinum-status residential assisted living centre set on a 2.38-acre campus at Karukachal, near Kottayam in Kerala.
Mission Valley offers a range of care modalities including Independent Living for active seniors, Long Term Care for chronic conditions, Short Term Care with skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and Respite Care that gives family caregivers a temporary break. Residents are housed in elegantly designed units (Studio, Deluxe and Twin) with services such as daily meals, housekeeping, laundry, daily health monitoring, 24-hour hot water, recreational facilities and round-the-clock staff support.
The foundation also runs sister projects (Rahel Homes and Presidency Homes), geriatric care education programmes, and was awarded "The Excellence in Geriatric Care" by Deepika News Daily in 2021. It is a Great Place to Work certified organisation.

The institution maintains a highly professional environment, and every aspect of my visit reflected quality and care. The administration is efficient, well-organized, and welcoming. Visitors are guided with clarity and respect. The staff members are dedicated to their responsibilities. The living environment provided for the inmates is clean, secure, and well-managed. It gives so much of satisfaction when u see someone maintain an ecosystem like the Travencore Foundation Senior living facility at Kottyam this quality. It’s the quality of care setting benchmark for assisted living and the accolades to the care giver team under the leadership of Mr Jiji Philip. The experience was mesmerising. I visited Travancore Foundation’s Mission Valley, Karukachal today to have a conversation with one of my professors, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The environment is calm and peaceful, and the staff were warm, polite, and very welcoming. I also heard great insights from my mentor about the operations at Mission Valley, which added to my appreciation of the facility. As a guest, I felt genuinely heartwarming hospitality and was impressed by the thoughtful care provided to the seniors and the overall quality of services. Even as a young visitor, I must admit with a smile that the comfort and peaceful atmosphere made me think I wouldn’t mind staying there myself one day!
